My name is Zhenya and I am 27 years old. In July 2023 I have been diagnosed with cancer (Stage 4 primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma), which came as a very big surprise for me and my family.

I have finished my first line of treatment this January and unfortunately my cancer have relapsed in May, so I have started another treatment a month ago. It has been a long and stressful journey with a lot of uncertainty, doubts and fears on the way. 

When I found out about the illness I felt frustrated, lost, angry, scared and helpless... I also felt that I don’t deserve this and most importantly that I have done something wrong in my life to get the disease. I think that a lot of people have similar feelings when dealing with cancer diagnosis and are struggling with mental health during this period.
